Zoom Yoga Therapy to Rest and Restore
A Yinstorative (yin + restorative) Practice to - Sun 7:00 pm Eastern
Service Description
Hit reset on Sunday evening and start your week refreshed and restored. Compassionately be present with your inner self and invite more ease into your whole self – body, mind, emotions, spirit, and breath. Utilize the long holds and support of props to explore deep stretching of fascia and other connective tissue with yin yoga and the power of surrendering and letting go with restorative yoga. The shapes are held in the body for 3-5 minutes and you choose the level of support you desire in the moment. The long holds also provide a great opportunity to explore additional ancient tools from yogic and shamanic practices including breathing exercises, meditation, mantras, mudras, and more. This is a MUST for anyone battling depression, anxiety, autoimmune conditions, or anyone negatively impacted by a dysregulated nervous system. The class is accessible to all levels and abilities with many opportunities to tune in and choose the forms that suit you in the moment. All are welcome in this trauma-informed, body-neutral space regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ability, mobility, size, experience, religion, socioeconomic class, etc. This practice generally takes place on the floor, no mat or standing is necessary. Participation from bed or utilizing two sturdy chairs without wheels is also welcome. If you feel you would benefit from this service but truly cannot afford the sliding scale, please reach out. If you have special requests or need accommodations or modifications you do not wish to share with the group, you are encouraged to DM Kristi in the Zoom chat to let her know. There are 2 in-person slots available for this session on a first-to-sign-up basis. Sign up as usual and then send an e-mail to optimal wellness yoga AT gmail dot com with no spaces requesting to be in-person and you will receive the address and instructions.
